Traveling & Craftiness

Tonight we watched an oldie but goodie: "Around the World in 80 Days." No, this isn't the one with Jackie Chan. This one's good. :) If you haven't seen this family friendly, kid-clean movie, I highly recommend it. Make it your next choice for family night, or if you want to use it as an educational piece, feel free to study cultures, languages, music, people, and places - or even geography - while watching this film. Based on the novel by Jules Vern, a gentleman and his assistant embark on a journey around the world, from London to London, on a wager that they cannot make it in 80 days. I highly recommend this film...though you might want to skip the boring intro.

Earlier today I went to the store and found some cute white fabric with tiny white daisies on it. This I cut and sewed together to make "curtains" for the nursery. Here's a picture of the nursery as it is right now:

I'd love to replace that rocker with a glider and glider footrest...but we'll see. The rocker was my mom's when she nursed and rocked us girls, and I love it...but I think a glider would make nursing a bit easier, what with being bigger with padded arms...and having a place for my feet.

Oh, and by the way, HAPPY SUMMER! And, most importantly:

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

to all the fabulous fathers out there, including my own, as well as my soon-to-be-Daddy hubby.
