Today Jason and I once again managed to get quite a bit done. My goal was to get the nursery put together (as much as possible at the moment). Above is a picture of Jason putting the crib together. The trick was figuring out how it was supposed to work. It's a second-hand crib (it was my little sister's when she was a baby...almost 21 years ago!), and it didn't come with instructions. So we had to figure it out on our own. We did it, and we're quite proud of ourselves.
Once it was put together, we had to put the mattress in and make the bed - using the adorable crib set we got in March.
And then we moved it into place and put the other furniture where we wanted it. Here's the end result:
Then, after the nursery was as done as it was going to get tonight, we decided to make dinner: Homemade ravioli! And yes, we did all of it - the pasta, the filling, the cooking. We even tried a new topping for it: Sage butter. Recommended with the recipe. It was delicious!
All in all, a great day! I can't wait to get stuff on the wall in the nursery. Next? Some chocolate, hopefully...
