Secondly, Ruth and I went shopping. There are (were) several things that we still needed before Little Miss made her grand entrance, and since I had five (yes, FIVE) gift cards to Wal-Mart, we went there. We got a lot of stuff: Plastic bibs, "rubber" coated spoons, bottom-wipes, bottles, a lamp, a 3-drawer chest, burp pads, light bulbs, a diaper pail, and an umbrella stroller. The total out-of-pocket expense for me? $1.50. That's right, a dollar and a half. Hooray for baby showers and gift cards. We are so appreciative of all of the thoughtfulness people have put into wonderful gifts for us, including gift cards so we could get things we need and don't get at showers. Here's a look at what I brought home tonight - my $1.50 trunk-full:

Celebratory Day
