Ruth came over yesterday (as noted in yesterday's post), and spent the night. We didn't end up going to church, since our church is having a campout this weekend and there wasn't a church service. Instead we relaxed at home, reading, blogging, talking, laughing...and baking! This afternoon Ruth made chocolate chip cookies. She and my mom make the best chocolate chip cookies in the world. I use the same recipe and mine never turn out this good. Very frustrating. Anyway, we very much enjoyed making the cookies...which always includes sampling the dough before we fill the trays.
While she was waiting for the cookies to bake, Ruth also left us some "Happy Baby" artwork on our whiteboard on the fridge. She's such a creative lass.
