Tonight Jason and I got to go on a date! Rachel and Charley graciously agreed to watch Kayla for us, and we were able to enjoy a relaxed couple of hours together. We started out at Pita Pit, which may not sound all that romantic, but we were practically the only people there. It was like having our own private restaurant. Sort of. At any rate, it was delicious. After dinner we took a short walk downtown and then came back to the patisserie which is right across the street from Pita Pit. Jason got a hot chocolate, I ordered spiced apple cider, and we shared a chocolate chip cookie. The cider smelled SO GOOD!!! And it tasted just as good. We had a good time. When it was over we went to pick up Kayla and ended up staying for an hour or so, talking, while Rachel and I figured out what we're doing for special music this Sabbath. I love date nights!
I like date nights too...but yours sound more romantic. Especially since you are both in the same place at the same time and get to see each other while you enjoy your date. Lol...Can you tell I miss Nick? I like your pic, by the way. Cute. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. It is good to have people you can leave Kayla with for a little while while you can get away and relax. I do not remember doing that when you and your sisters were little. Perhaps we shold have. Mom and I usually have "date nights" in the middle of the afternoon at the taco shop. It we went late at night we would probably fall asleep. Oh my. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz...
ReplyDeleteThat picture looks good enough to eat! But really, only ONE cookie?!
ReplyDeleteHahaha....Dad, you make me laugh. :) I liked your comments. And I agree - only ONE cookie?! I'd get at LEAST two...and Nick could have a couple bites of one, I guess. Lol...And dad, you should go on a date with Mom. A REAL date. Save $50, dress up, and take her to Louis'...take pictures with her and then send some to me so I can gawk at how cute my parents are together. :) Love you!
